Dacor was founded in 1965 as a family-owned California appliance maker and was acquired by Samsung in 2016. The brand now occupies Samsung's ultra-premium tier, combining Dacor's heritage of bold design with Samsung's electronics and connectivity technology. The Contemporary and Modernist series represent Dacor's current flagship offerings.
